Office Visits
Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, and high-quality dental care. We understand that you or your child may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while we provide the best possible care.
During your first visit, we will review your dental and medical history forms and take X-rays of your teeth and mouth. Our hygienist and doctor will conduct an oral cancer screening and check your teeth and gums for cavities or gingivitis. We will help create your individual treatment plan and answer any questions you may have.
Bring your smile, but also remember to bring these to your first appointment
- Your completed patient information form
- Your insurance card
- Any X-rays taken by a previous dentist, if applicable
- A list of medications you are currently taking
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (e.g., pre-medication, artificial heart valves and joints, pacemaker, etc.)
IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile!
Dental exams should take place with a cleaning appointment every three to six months. A consultation with our team is needed to decide on the frequency of your visit, because we may suggest that you visit more frequently based on factors such as smoking, frequency of cavities, and genetic susceptibility to tooth and root decay as well as gum disease.
We understand you have a busy schedule, so when you’re preparing to visit our office, please remember your appointments can last between 40 and 90 minutes.
